2205 Duplex Marine-Grade Stainless Steel Glass Railing Spigot – Adjustable, Fits 10–14mm Glass – Pool, Deck & Balcony | GV Hardware
Industrial-grade 2205 Duplex marine-grade stainless steel glass railing spigot, engineered to North American railing load standards and independently lab-tested to ISO 9227:2017 — 200 hours of neutral salt spray exposure with no significant corrosion. Built for residential, commercial, and marine-exposed installations across Canada and the USA.
Why duplex 2205 (and not 304 or 316)?
Most glass spigots on the market are made from 304 or 316 stainless. We use certified duplex 2205 (Cr 22.7%, Mo 3.18%) — a high-performance alloy specified for coastal, pool and marine environments. It delivers markedly higher resistance to pitting and salt/chlorine corrosion than 304 or 316, and roughly twice the yield strength (623 MPa) — so it holds up for years outdoors where ordinary 304 spigots stain and rust.
Independently tested
- Salt spray: 200 hours of neutral salt spray (ISO 9227) with no significant corrosion.
- Load: tested to a 750 N/m uniformly distributed load — no fracture, deflection within code-allowable limits.
- Mechanical: 623 MPa yield strength, 825 MPa tensile strength.
Built to install fast
The adjustable base levels glass panels precisely on uneven surfaces — no shims, no guesswork — and accepts 10–14 mm tempered or laminated glass, secured by two M10 set screws. Available in matte black and brushed satin, each finish passes an ASTM 5B cross-cut adhesion test for a durable, clean architectural look on decks, balconies, stairs, pool fences and terraces.
